Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Documentarist Cheryl Dunn unravels the story of Dash Snow, a prominent graffiti artist who surfaced in New York City’s counterculture scene during the late 1990s and had works exhibited in the 2000s until his untimely death in 2009 via drug overdose. Characterized as a highly talented artist of his era, he was also known to have left a cushy upper-class lifestyle and chose to live, be with, and party among his chosen family composed of fellow artists, such as photographer Dan Colen and artist Ryan McGinley.
