Long-time media producer Amy Scott’s feature documentary debut examines the life and artistic legacy of overlooked award-winning film director Hal Ashby. Ashby helmed a string of ‘70s Oscar-winning classic films, but would eventually be outshone by his contemporaries (Coppola, Scorsese, Lucas, and Spielberg). Scott focuses on his uncompromising artistry and his contributions to the New Hollywood wave of filmmaking.
