The drama, by director Matthew Coppola, tells the story of a girl who befriends a war veteran suffering from PTSD. Freeman Bender (Mark Kassen) is released from a psychiatric ward under the condition that he follows all the rules of his release. Befriending Penelope (Sophie Turner), she invites him to meet her family. But knowing that he could have a break at any moment, he repels her friendship. But Penelope doesn't give up so easily and believes that Freeman can find a better place for himself, despite the warnings of her father (Ray Liotta).
