Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Diagnosed with just six months to live after throwing away his HIV medications, 48 year old Gregg Gour travels across the country to bid his friends and family farewell before ending his struggle on his own terms. Gour was just 24 years old when he learned he was infected with the virus that causes AIDS. In the two decades that followed, he endured a grueling treatment regimen that wrecked havoc on his body. When Gour realized that his quality of life was gradually beginning to diminish, he decided to cease treatment while he still had the strength to be independent. Loading up an RV with his faithful dog Cody and all of his earthly possessions, Gour traveled from state to state, saying goodbye to various friends and loved ones along the way. Filmmakers Barbara Green and Michelle Boyaner came along for the ride, documenting Gour's travels while pondering the complications of planning your death while living in a society where assisted suicide is still a taboo topic.
