The Royal Opera House mounted this 2000 production of Giuseppe Verdi's seminal opera Rigoletto (1851). It stars Paolo Gavanelli, Marcelo Alvarez and Christine Schäfer; David McVicar directs for the stage, with musical support by the Orchestra and Chorus of the Royal Opera House. Edward Downes conducts and Leah Hausman choreographs.
