Review by Hans J. Wollstein

There is a nice camaraderie going between hero Lane Chandler and comedy relief sheriff Harry Todd in this low-budget but fairly amusing Western filmed at Lone Pine, CA. The location, rare for such an otherwise pedestrian production, elevates Wyoming Whirlwind slightly above the norm and so does the work of villain Al Bridge and his second-in-command, Yakima Canutt. The latter, who enjoyed a brief starring career in the late silent era, had not yet found his permanent place as Hollywood's best-known stunt man/coordinator. Wyoming Whirlwind was released to television in the early '50s as Roaring Rider.
