Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In a rural village in the Black Forest, Anke (Anke Bak) retires from her humble job at the local church and anticipates meeting up with her children during their summer holiday to the Baltic Sea. Yet the family plan hits a snag when Anke's youngest, Max, reveals that he cannot leave Hong Kong, where he lives, due to democratic protests halting all operations. Anke then vows to visit her son, a journey that forces Anke to confront her inner turmoil and make peace with herself as she moves forward in her life. Jonas Bak directs the drama.
