Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Directed by Jeanette Nordahl, this Danish drama follows the story of orphaned teenager Ida (Sandra Guldberg Kampp), a 17-year-old introvert who nearly shuts out the world upon the sudden death of her mother from an accident. Her mother’s sister, Bodil (Sidse Babett Knudsen), volunteers to take in her niece, even though they haven’t met yet due to a rift between the sisters. Ida meets her three male cousins, some only slightly older than her. Even though her aunt presents a soccer mom persona, it turns out that she’s running a notorious debt collection racket involving everyone in the family.
