A simple magic trick does irreparable damage to the relationship between a man and his mentally unstable girlfriend in this idiosyncratic drama from filmmaker Takahashi Izumi. Mukai and his ex-girlfriend were attending the wedding of a mutual friend when charismatic amateur magician Kurata asked for their keys and offered to share his latest slight of hand. During the course of the trick, however, the identical-looking keys become hopelessly mixed up. Later, as the repeated attempts to get the keys back to their correct owners snowball into absurdity, the relationship between Mukai and his emotionally disturbed current girlfriend Kozue gradually begins to buckle under the weight of uncertainty.
