Synopsis by Mark Deming
Filmmaker Manuel Knapp uses unusual imaging technology to create a distinctive virtual landscape in this experimental short subject. Visibility of Interim was made using computer software designed for the architectural trade; the result is a series of lines that transform into solid shapes and planes, with a landscape made of light and darkness constantly growing and shifting through the course of the film. Visibility of Interim was screened in competition at the 2007 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
