The subtitle of this three-reel sturm und drang British meller was The Tempters of London. Yet again, an innocent rural girl is lured to the big city by a rapacious, well-dressed cad. The "hero" turns out to be a heel, forcing the girl to start wearing round heels as she sells her body for money. The girl is rescued by her sister, who makes certain that the city slicker pays for his misdeeds. Critics were agreed that, were it not for its excellent cinematography, Vice and Virtue would not have been worth 3 reels of anybody's time.
