Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Writer-director Jean-Gabriel Périot’s debut feature film is an incisive documentary that explores the founding and evolution of The Red Army Faction (a.k.a. the Baader-Meinhof group): a group of militant, far-left intellectuals that became a radicalized terrorist organization. Drawing from archival footage, Périot contextualizes the RAF's beliefs and actions within the ideological and historical tensions of post-war Germany.
