Synopsis by Mark Deming

Stranded travelers discover an inn where they are clearly not welcome in this thriller from the sibling filmmaking team of Danny Pang and Oxide Pang. Six friends from Hong Kong are traveling in Thailand -- Ciwi (Ciwi Lam), who is very much love with Hei (Rex Ho); Rainie (Rainie Yang), whose relationship with Lok (Shawn Yue) is on its last legs; and Rex (Izz Xu) and his sister Ling (Elanne Kwong). The group is ready to board a plane home when political protests lead to a shutdown at the airport, and they need a place to stay for the night. With few options, they book rooms at a shabby hotel run by ill-mannered Chuen (Lam Ka Tung). The guests happen upon a curious dog and a handful of strange children in the night, and the next morning, Hei, Lok, and Rex have all vanished without a trace. As Ciwi, Rainie and Ling try to find out what happened, they learn the hotel has a history of being haunted, and the dog may hold the key to the mystery. The first Hong Kong horror movie filmed in 3D, Tungngaan 3D (aka The Child's Eye 3D) was an official selection at the 2010 Venice Film Festival.
