Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The third season of Travels in Europe With Rick Steves was launched with this 27th episode in the series. Beginning another 3,000-mile trek through the continent, host Rick Steves finds himself in the recently reunified German city of Berlin. Traces of the city's tumultuous history can be found at the Brandenburg Gate and the Haus am Checkpoint Charlie museum, which honors those who lost their lives trying to scale the infamous Wall. Then it's off to Potsdam, home of Friedrich the Great, and a visit to the great Prussian warrior's hideaway castle, Sanssouci.
