Synopsis by Jinko Labitag

Timmy Failure (Winslow Fegley) is a fifth grader from Portland, Oregon, who, in his mind, runs the detective agency Total Failure, Inc. with his huge polar bear named Total. His mother Patty (Ophelia Lovibond) lovingly tolerates his wild imagination despite him causing her more stress than what she is due. When Timmy loses his Failure Mobile, a segway that his mother instructed him not to use, he finds himself on a mission to bring it back before he gets into trouble. The movie, which is based on a book series by Stephan Pastis, is directed by Tom McCarthy.
