Filmmaker Janus Metz continues exploring the subject that she first breached in the 2008 documentary Love on Delivery with this look at a small village in the north east of Thailand where a large number of local women have taken Danish husbands. In this village, the women married to Danes live in concrete buildings, while their counterparts dwell in small wooden cottages. Sommai is a former sex worker from Pattya, and the queen of the village. A factory worker in Denmark, Sommai returns to the small village and the girls flock. They all hope to find Danish husbands, and Sommai is more than willing to help make a love connection. But like the newly married Kae, who must leave her child behind in order to find true love, many of these women are faced with monumental, life-altering choices in their quest for happiness. Perhaps even a girl life Saeng, who works in a Pattya sex bar, can find her ticket to paradise if she searches long enough.
