Review by Jason Griffith

Think Like a Man Too gets the gang from Tim Story's 2012 comedy Think Like a Man back together again, this time in Las Vegas to celebrate the wedding of Candace (Regina Hall) and Michael (Terrence J).

The night before the big event, the guys and gals split up for bachelor- and bachelorette-party adventures; best man Cedric (Kevin Hart) leads the men, while maid of honor Lauren (Taraji P. Henson) takes charge of the women. However, both groups fail to find their party groove as the directionless script wanders all over the Vegas strip without ever establishing stakes worth caring about.

With no real narrative to speak of, Think Like a Man Too spends the majority of its 106 minutes cycling through each couple's clichéd relationship problems, which ultimately prevent everyone from having anything resembling a good time -- a contradictory course of events considering the film's Las Vegas backdrop. The guys are perpetually distracted by their domestic obligations, and while the ladies make more of an effort to see their bachelorette off in memorable style, they too waste most of the evening stuck in unwanted situations. The crew end up spending the night in jail, just before a predictable third act quickly ties up each story line with a happy ending.

Despite its many shortcomings in the plot department, there are some funny moments in Think Like a Man Too. The majority of the heavy lifting in terms of humor is done by Hart, who seems like he was born to play the role of an overeager but underachieving best man. Zeke (Romany Malco) is also entertaining as the reformed womanizer, and lame married guy Bennett (Gary Owen) serves his purpose as the butt of everyone else's jokes.

Think Like a Man Too is essentially the opposite of The Hangover. Instead of a wild ride with a pack of irresponsible party animals trying to undo the consequences of an epic bachelor party the night before, Think Like a Man Too presents a bored group of uninspired, too-responsible-to-be-fun friends grinding through mundane bachelor and bachelorette parties while avoiding consequences at all costs. There are a few laughs to be had, but you'd be better off watching clips of Hart's standup on YouTube.
