Synopsis by Farida Ezzat
Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Igor Drljaca, the Bosnian drama chronicles an unlikely love story in post-war Sarajevo. Faruk is a struggling orphan who scavenges scrap metal while taking care of his grandmother. Mona comes from a wealthy yet toxic family and wants to escape her suffocating household. When they cross paths, Faruk and Mona share their struggles and sorrows, traversing different worlds where love is the only language. The film competed at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2021.
