Irishman Brian Kelly (Charles Clary) forsakes his sweetheart to become a priest in America. She marries someone else, and many years later, he becomes involved in the affairs of her son, Bruce Wilton (Wheeler Oakman). The young man's parents have died, so Father Kelly sends him to college, and eventually he becomes a stockbroker. But Wilton has an enemy in his supposed friend, Kenward Wright (Harry Lonsdale), who is determined to ruin him on Wall Street. Bruce marries Vera Wallace (Kathlyn Williams), whose sister has been wronged by the ironically-named Wright. Next Wright carries out his plan to destroy Wilton financially, but Father Kelly saves the young man from suicide. A year later, the Padre is able to reunite the estranged Wiltons and force Wright to admit his wrongdoings.
