Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Tonight's comedy sketch is entitled "Clem Sings." Red Skelton plays hillbilly Clem Kadiddlehopper, who manages to wangle free singing lessons by claiming he has a "hidden talent." As a result, he ends up entangled in a legal case involving fraud and plagiarism. Celebrated crooner Rudy Vallee and Red's longtime orchestra leader David Rose appear as themselves. Other cast members include Jan Arvan as Ferguson, Reed Hadley as the District Attorney, Isabel Randolph as Mrs. Witherspoon, and Lennie Bremen as Nick. This episode aired on October 28, 1958.
