Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The hallowed halls of CBS' Hollywood studios provide the backdrop for this videotaped Red Skelton Show from March 17, 1959. Having graduated from a correspondence-course acting school, mountaineer Clem Kadiddlehopper (Red) heads to CBS in search of work. Unable to get past the casting office, Clem begs Garry Moore-then hosting the popular hour-long variety program which followed Skelton's show on Tuesday night-for a helping hand. Several of the running gags established on this episode were carried over into Garry Moore's live program that same evening.
