Synopsis by Fred Beldin

Rocky Foscoe (Peter Spelson) is a Chicago barber who takes the long way home from work one day, sipping whiskey from a flask as he drives through the countryside. Stopping on the shoulder of the road to sleep, Rocky experiences a terrifying dream that his automobile is hovering hundreds of feet in the air, and that he almost tumbles to his death after opening the car door. The next morning he finds himself in his own bed, stunned and confused; his wife assumes his irritability stems from a hangover. Rocky confides in his physician, though the doctor is no help, as he too attributes the strange events to alcohol. Returning to the place where he pulled over that bizarre night, Rocky meets an old man who witnessed the levitating automobile. In shock at having his dream confirmed as reality, Rocky kills the old timer with a burst of psychic energy. Lieutenant O'Brien (Chris Carbis) leads the investigation into the murder, trying to make sense of the few clues available. Rocky is identified as a suspect after his doctor is also found dead, though the sheer destruction at the scene of the crime convinces O'Brien that he isn't dealing with any ordinary killer. He visits the Chicago Institute of Psychology, where a professor tells him about the theory of "psychotronic energy," which would allow a human being access to the hidden power of his subconscious mind. Rocky is sought by the police, though he refuses to be captured, leading the authorities on a lengthy chase through downtown. O'Brien experiences Rocky's weird powers firsthand, and is determined to take this dangerous killer down, even though a meddling government agent wants him to capture the psychotronic man alive.
