When a single mother of four loses her job to outsourcing, the struggling family moves from the city of Los Angeles to a small New Mexico town in a desperate attempt to prevent their lives from falling apart. Laura Munoz and her kids were just getting by on the single mother's paycheck, but when she is suddenly outsourced their situation grows increasingly grim. Their new home in New Mexico is a far cry from the urban comforts of Los Angeles, and eldest son Manny is still reeling from the recent death of his father. When Manny falls in with a local gang, the ensuing violence threatens to consume his entire family.
