The hip-hop underworld erupts into violence after Super Star Records' top recording artist is gunned down in the prime of his career, and the tragic death helps to launch his best friend to super stardom. Just when it seemed as if Super Star Records was about to go belly up, sales begin to pick up after the label's marquee rapper becomes an unfortunate victim of industry violence. Before long, the deceased star's former best friend Rod (Fredro Star) is dodging bullets, too, but remarkably his close brushes with death only serve to spurn on his popularity. Fearing for his life, Rod and his girlfriend Ana (Lark Vorhees) go into hiding. Later, when Rod discovers that Ana and Super star Records have been playing him from the beginning, all hell breaks loose.
