Sadly, the Durango Kid (Charles Starrett) went out with a whimper rather than a bang. Riding the cinematic trails since 1935 (and donning the mask of the Durango Kid since 1940), Starrett deserved much better than The Kid From Broken Gun, which is told in flashback and is mostly stock footage from earlier adventures. The female lawyer turned murderer is a refreshing change, though, and blonde Angela Stevens makes the most of the opportunity. Meanwhile, stuntman turned Western co-star Jock Mahoney is once again offered the opportunity to actually chase himself!
