Synopsis by Steve Blackburn

Originally televised on The Learning Channel, this is the first of six videos from the Emmy Award-nominated series based on the book The Human Sexes: A Natural History of Man and Woman by Desmond Morris. Morris also wrote and hosted this series examining the sexuality of humanity through biology, psychology, and culture. This episode reveals which aspects of gender are "hard-wired" -- that is, biological -- and which are determined by a person's culture. Highlights include a look at brain scan studies that physically illustrate how men and women think differently when faced with the same problem. Note: the series contains some nudity.
