Director Miranda de Pencier’s uplifting Canadian sports drama film is based on a true story. Starring Emerald MacDonald, Ben Schnetzer, Paul Nutarariaq, Ricky Marty-Pahtaykan, and Booboo Stewart, it explores how a group of young Inuits gained a hard-won sense of hope and pride after a lacrosse team was introduced as a means to alleviate the epidemic of youth suicide in the small community of Kugluktuk, Nunavut, Canada.
