Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Romeo and Juliet meets Vagabond in this gentle satire on the mores of modern Iran and pubescent arrogance directed by Rassul Sadr Ameli. The film opens with teenaged couple Aideen (Majid Hajizadeh) and Tadai (Pegah Ahangarani) strolling through a park in Tehran. They proclaim their love for each other and dream wistfully of a future together until a police officer suddenly arrests Aideen under suspicion of deflowering the young maiden. Though he is soon released, Tadai's family is outraged that she would be seen with him -- an unrelated young man about the same age -- and demands that she never see her dearly beloved again. Believing that she simply cannot live without him, she runs away from home and sets out on a 24-hour odyssey through the underbelly of Tehran looking to reunite with Aideen. Along the way, she encounters a startling array of sleazy merchants, gypsies, and homeless people.
