The Firm of Girdlestone of 1915 was the first cinemadaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle story of the same name. Fred Groves stars as Ezra Girdlestone, a merchant facing financial ruin. His only hope lies in the legacy currently in the name of his young ward John (Charles Rock). Anxious to claim the money, Ezra plots the young man's murder. Heroine Kate Horston (Edna Flugrath) suspects that something is amiss.
