A typical economic Columbia Western, The Fighting Fool is notable mostly for an interesting supporting cast that includes two-reel comedy veteran Dorothy Granger as the villainess and silent screen leading lady Marceline Day, who was nearing the end of her career. McCoy, as always, makes a formidable hero, and director Lambert Hillywer directs in his usual no-nonsense manner.
