Synopsis by Ben Schultz
This WWII drama tells the story of approximately 400 Koreans forced by the Japanese to mine for coal on Hashima Island (aka "Battleship Island"). In time, a musician (Hwang Jung-min), a gang leader (Ji-seob So), a resistance fighter (Song Joong-ki), and other prisoners attempt to escape. Directed by Ryoo Seung-wan. Jung-hyun Lee and Soo-an Kim co-star.
