Synopsis by Cecilia Cygnar

This documentary, part of the 20th Century With Mike Wallace series from CBS News and the History Channel, takes a close look at sexual harassment, a crime that occurs everywhere from the workplace to the military. Narrated by series host and CBS News correspondent Mike Wallace, this episode uses the most controversial sexual harassment cases in the latter part of the 20th century: Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill, and Robert Packwood and the Tailhook Navy scandal. 20th Century With Mike Wallace incorporates CBS News archive footage from the coverage of these cases to show how the role of sexual harassment forever changed the nation. There is also a look at how major companies are dealing with the sexual harassment problem by covering up cases of harassment and keeping the stories out of the media.
