Synopsis by Cecilia Cygnar

This documentary, part of the 20th Century With Mike Wallace series from CBS News and the History Channel, delves into the history and background of the Nazi movement in America. Narrated by series host and CBS News correspondent Mike Wallace, this episode looks at how the American Nazi movement differs from other hate-related organizations, such as the Klu Klux Klan, and how the membership of the neo-Nazis has grown considerably over the 20th century. 20th Century With Mike Wallace features talks with sociologists and historians who have studied these groups and their influence on the country. An exclusive interview with neo-Nazi leader William Pierce uncovers some of the ideas and thoughts of these American Nazis. Pierce is also the author of The Turner Diaries, a book that had a role in the bombing in Oklahoma City.
