Apart from an early appearance by future television pitchman Iron Eyes Cody, here billed simply as "Iron Eyes," and a good performance by perennial villain Leroy Mason, Texas Pioneers makes for rather tedious viewing. Overburdened with stock footage from the silent era, the Western also suffers from downright embarrassing performances from leading man Bill Cody, grating child actor Andy Shuford, and insipid heroine Sheila Mannors.
