Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Te Quiero Para Mi (I Want You For Myself) was directed in Mexico by European expatriate Ladislas Vajda. Antonio Casal plays Don Caesar, a high-school principal who falls in love with heroine Lil (Isabel de Pomes). Unfortunately, Lil prefers Don Caesar's best friend and associate, Heredia (Jose Nieto). To win the girl over, Don Caesar promises a huge dowry when they marry -- which proves to be yet another disappointment for the self-important principal. An amusing exercise in comic frustration, Te Quiero Para Mi is based on a novel by Maria Luisa Linares.
