Fifteen players remain as Survivor: The Amazon moves into its second episode. A heavy tropical rainstorm (hey, why not? This is the rainforest!) drenches the all-female Tambaqui tribes, while the all-male Jaburus are comfortable in the shelter they have built. The women decide it is time to erect their own shelter, but a lack of "team spirit" slows this project down. Elsewhere, an early immunity challenge favors one tribe over the other; JoAnna Ward reveals how her religious beliefs have affected her behavior on the island; and Alex Bell and Roger Sexton discuss "alternate" lifestyles. Finally, a second person is voted off the show.
