Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Scripted by Tracy Torme from a story by Robert Sabaroff, this episode gets under way when Captain Picard receives a message from an old friend, Captain Walker Keel (Jonathan Farwell). Rendezvousing with Keel on the planet Dytalix B, Picard is apprised of a sinister conspiracy to take control of Starfleet Command. Picard heads to Earth with this information, unaware that the takeover has already commenced, courtesy of an extremely persistent parasite. "Conspiracy" originally aired on May 14, 1988.
