To meet Soraida is to discover the true face of Palestine, a country where the women are not all veiled, where the men do not speak the language of wood and where the children are not human bombs: they play hide and seek -hide, but sometimes it is the Israeli soldiers who count to ten. Soraida invites us into her home, and dares to ask the question that is on our lips: when we are crushed, how can we not lose our humanity? As an answer, she offers us the story of small victories and daily resistance to conflict, which plunge us into the heart of the human experience, into the most intimate recesses of the life of a Palestinian woman.
