Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The plot of this Gaumont drama was dismissed as "hackneyed" by a critic for the trade magazine Variety. Set in medieval times, the plot is set in motion when the infant son of a powerful baron is kidnapped by a pair of bandits. Fifteen years later, the baron and his wife are still inconsolable over the loss of their son. Meanwhile, the boy has grown up to become a wandering minstrel. As he passes the baron's castle, the boy, unaware of his true heritage, begins singing a lullaby that he dimly remembers from his childhood. Upon hearing this familiar song, the baron rushes outside his castle walls and embraces his long-lost son. Evidently, a genuine castle was used for the exterior scenes in this one-reel tearjerker.
