Synopsis by Mark Deming

Two men who can tell you anyone's deepest secrets for a price land a job that's more than they bargained for in this offbeat comedy. Bennett (Andrew Buckley) and Davis (Ed Gaughan) have built a successful business around their unusual talent -- using some makeshift tools, they can step into a house and quite literally uncover the skeletons in someone's closet, making them popular with young couples who want to know the nitty-gritty about their partners before they get married. All is well with Bennett and Davis until they're hired by Jane (Paprika Steen), a mother of two whose husband vanished without a trace eight years ago. Jane hopes that they might be able to discover some of her hubby's secrets that could give some clues to his whereabouts, as well as what caused her daughter Rebecca (Tuppence Middleton) to lose the ability to speak. But digging into the mysteries of Jane's household takes Bennett and Davis down some psychic detours they've never explored. Skeletons was the first feature film from writer and director Nick Whitfield.
