Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Zifeng Zhang, Yang Xiao, Yuanyuan Zhu, and Connor Leong star in director Ruoxin Yin’s coming-of-age drama. After losing her parents to a car crash, an 18-year-old teenager is forced to choose between her independence and the responsibility of caring for her 6-year-old half-brother. While chafing against the common preference for sons, she also struggles to assert her agency in the face of traditional family values.
