Review by Buzz McClain

The body count is high, but there are few bodies to count -- because the sharks pretty much devour them entirely. Director Danny Lerner leaves little to the imagination when it comes to the frequent shark attacks, showing the gaping maw headed toward the inevitable victim, who is usually swimming toward Dean Cochran's rather benign hero as he stands helplessly on the deck of a nearby boat. This happens so often you begin to think the sharks have paid him to be bait for the humans they catch. Just about everyone who should be nicknamed "Dead Meat" is gone by the 50th minute, so it's with a laugh a new gang of future victims shows up wearing Bad Guy black outfits. They should be wearing "Shark Snack" hats. There aren't many thrills because there's no anticipation of danger, but there is a very, very cheap thrill involving Brandi Sherwood that, although well done, is pretty low.
