Synopsis by Rebecca Flint Marx

As Charlotte's (Kristin Davis) wedding to Trey (Kyle MacLachlan) draws near, the bride-to-be finds herself more than a little concerned about her bedroom relations with her fiancé, or rather, the lack thereof. The night before her wedding, after confessing to her shocked friends that she and Trey have not yet slept together, a drunken Charlotte goes to Trey's apartment, where she plans to rectify their previous lack of intimacy. Unfortunately, her expectations aren't quite fulfilled, and Charlotte wakes up on her wedding day with a disproportionately meaty helping of the wedding day jitters. Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), meanwhile, has significant issues of her own to consider: Only minutes before Charlotte's wedding, she finally confesses to Aidan (John Corbett) her affair with Big (Chris Noth). Aidan, unsurprisingly, is less than pleased with the news, and leaves. He reappears after the wedding to tell Carrie that although he loves her, he can't accept her cheating, and dumps her. Devastated, Carrie turns to her friends for support. Carrie isn't the only one of her friends who must deal with the consequences of lying, however: Fed up with scaring off men with her status as a corporate lawyer, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) pretends to be an airline stewardess and subsequently lands a date with Harris, who says he is an emergency room doctor. Miranda finds out otherwise when, after spending the night with Harris, she cuts her finger and Harris confesses he knows nothing about medicine. Instead of confessing her own white lie, Miranda kicks Harris out, and is left bleeding with hypocrisy.
