Synopsis by Rob Ferrier

Each episode of Secrets of the Pharaohs examines the dynastic families of ancient Egypt in a unique light. Rather than presenting them as mere gatherers of heaps of gold, this series attempts to expose the people behind the power, to illuminate the daily lives of those who ruled Egypt as gods and left lasting testaments to their power in the form of the gigantic edifices they constructed. This particular episode examines the mystery of two mummies found at the time of the discovery of King Tut's tomb. These two juvenile bodies may reveal evidence of a genetic defect in Egypt's royal line and clues to their eventual eclipse. It is posited that Egypt's royalty was simply too inbred to continue to exist.
