Synopsis by Hal Erickson

This 80-minute documentary draws material from several sources. Part One, produced by Israel Berman, chronicles the day-to-day life of a fish. Part Two, from Mostechfilm Studios, is something of guided tour of the Moscow Zoo. Part Three, from Kievtechfilm Studios, is a grim tale of survival of the fittest in the desert. And Part Four, produced by Boris Dolin is the saga of an injured stork and its subsequent rescue. For the most part, the "nature" footage is offered straightforwardly, with a minimum of self-conscious camera tricks.
