Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Opening with shots of landscapes and the sky -- and leading to the exploits of a drug addict, a young mother, and an elderly scientist -- this avant-garde film by Peter Mettler uses all the techniques of stop- and slow-motion cinematography, plus other staples of the genre to produce some arresting scenes. Winner of three awards at the 1982 Canadian Film Festival, Scissere elicited a broad range of responses from reviewers.
