Ryan Little's war drama Saints and Soldiers: The Void is based on a real event near the end of WWII where celebrated athlete Jesse Owens (K. Danor Gerald) , a sergeant of a racially mixed tank crew, must get his men to overcome their hostilities and mistrust in order to capture a Panzer platoon that is preparing to ambush Allied troops.
