The Japanese animated film tells the story of Ryoma and the tennis match that changed his life. Son of tennis legend Samurai Nanjirou, Ryoma decides to train in the United States, hoping to match his father’s skill and fame. One day, he gets involved in a fight with a street gang who challenges him to a tennis match to safely release his friend Sakuno. Ryoma accepts the challenge, but when two tennis balls collide the space-time continuum fractures. What follows is a trip back to the past where Ryoma and Sakuno relive Nanjirou’s legendary American championship win.
