As a girl travelling with a medicine show, Ethel sings of her fleeting love affairs in 'Hello, My Lover, Goodbye'. In the next town she works her sales pitch to the tune of 'Shake Well Before Using'. On the way out of town, she finds that one of her admirers has decided to join her.
