The noise you hear in the background of this obscure B-Western is the tell-tale scraping of the bottom of the barrel. Cheap to the point of incomprehensibility, Rio Rattler does, however, have two outstanding qualities: it kills off the comedy sidekick (Eddie Gribbon) and Tom London appears as a good guy for a change. Tom Tyler's competent performance is the only other mitigating factor in what can best be termed a rather amateurish production.
